A complete range to cope with
Extreme Winter Temperatures
      fact file << Previous page

Whatever the weather, professionals need to be able to cope with the cold if they are to carry out their work in the most comfortable conditions possible, without the threat of numbness. Road-repairers and bridge maintenance engineers, loggers, electrical and telephone cable installers, workers on oil rigs and refineries - all are exposed to extremes of climate, humidity and difficult surfaces underfoot.

A combination of technological advances for shoes in the Lightane™ Range

Jaltrekking X2 and Jalcanyon X2 shoes with their many technological innovations are the ideal answer for professionals working in cold environments. Their waterproof finest quality leather uppers prevent any damp from getting in (to standard EN 344) and protect the user from feeling cold due to dampness. Their heat-regulating lining in Outlast maintains the foot at a constant temperature so that wearers can cope with the cold comfortably. To insulate the sole of the foot perfectly from cold, their outsoles are made from a 5 separate layers combined - a contact layer made of Néotril™, an expanded layer of Softane™, a FleXtane™ composite midsole, a Texon Soft insole and an insole sock including active carbon. But the technological innovation of the Jaltrekking X2 and of the Jalcanyon X2 lies above all in their 100% composite safety, with their Xetane™ 200 Joule toecaps and their FleXtane™ pierce-resistant midsole. Unlike steel, the composite is non-conductive and protects the foot from both cold and heat. This material developed by Jallatte's R&D department is specially designed not to deteriorate, non-magnetic and very light, so that a Lightane™ safety shoe is no heavier than a conventional sport shoe.

A large range of boots to keep you effective whatever the weather

Jaltree SAS, the "rough-terrain" shoe

On the most dirty and uneven terrain, in a frequently changing environment, in difficult weather conditions, the non-slip, high-grip sole of the Jaltree SAS can face up to unforeseen situations. Its uppers in waterproof finest quality leather and its thermal 100% wool make it suitable for "all-weather" wear, while its ergonomically-designed TPU reinforcements resist abrasion and extend the shoe's life in extreme conditions of use.

Jalartic SAS, light and ergonomic

To face up to cold and aggressive environments, the Jalartic is ready for anything. Its totally natural AP 23™ finest quality leather, water and oil-resistant, is 10 to 15% thicker than other leathers, is three times more resistant to water vapour penetration than required under standard EN 344, and has excellent long-term resistance. Its thermal lining gives the wearer good insulation from the cold. Its Softane™ twin-construction sole, fitted with a progressive effect shock-absorber, provides excellent deadening of heel shocks and vibrations. The high-density outsole resists abrasion, oil and grease very well.
